That's not the way I see it. Prof. Chomsky's reply was curt, but Mr.
Enyang's wasn't particularly friendly either. He didn't begin his mail
with "Dear Prof. Chomsky please look at this. What do you say about
it?" - which would have been a more likely incentive for a constructive
discussion - but "I write to register my disgust [...]". Another
relevant issue: Did Mr. Enyang ask Chomsky if he could cc his answer to
a mailing list of several hundred people?
