[Marxism] Exchange with Benny Morris in Counterpunch

There's a very interesting exchange in this weekend's Counterpunch between
Bill and Kathleen Christison and the Israeli historian Benny Morris, whose
revisionist histories of the founding of the Israeli state, with their
emphasis on the level of ethnic cleansing involved, broke sharply from
official Zionist accounts. As many of you may recall, Morris shocked many of
his erstwhile sympathizers on the left by frankly arguing for the necessity
of Israel's ethnic cleansing (these were his words), both past and present,
of the Palestinians in order to secure Israel's survival, in an interview
with Ha'aretz that Tariq Ali reprinted in New Left Review's March/April 2004
