It seems to me (has always seemed to me) that commodity fetishism is
both one of the most important concepts in Marxist thought _and_ one of
the most difficult to grasp precisely. (And it follows that it is one of
the easiest to grasp messily and incorrectly.)
One crucial work dealing with it is I. Rubin, _Essays on Marx's Theory
of Value_.
