[Marxism] Fw: rehashing the Stalin-Trotsky debate

Someone calling himself  'Leon Trotsky' -- surely some mistake -- stated:
'As a Cuban American Trotskyist who has traveled to Cuba and would like to
see a genuine workers democracy created there I view the rehashing the
Stalin-Trotsky debate as a way of understanding the world we are living in
right now.  The very fact that I would be murdered by Cuban Stalinist is
very real contemporary issue to me.'

If this bloke had gone to Cuba and survived, this surely contradicts his
assertion that he 'would be murdered by Cuban Stalinist' if he went again.

My pal Gary Tennant travelled to Cuba to do his research for his thesis on
Cuban Trotskyism, and actually spoke to some Cuban Trotskyists. So they're
still alive, even if they were forced out of open political activity. Like
Gary, I don't have the rose-tinted view of Cuba that many of this list
members have. Nonetheless, I do think that comments should be kept within
the bounds of reality.
