Re: [Marxism] 'The West sets Terrorists on Russia'...,

David Quarter wrote:
Certaintly to say that there is NO proof of any malevolent intentions
towards Putin/Russia because the U.S. hasn't come out salivating
with glee at the Belsan slauthter and because there has been no
formal plans announced by the U.S. for an invasion of Russia is no
less of a logical leap than my position on this matter. I had already
provided quite a few articles to support my position.

But your articles are not worth anything. For example, the article you
posted earlier from RosBusinessConsulting charged the Chechens with
ethnic cleansing of non-Chechens and slavery. If somebody posted an
article stating that Henry Kissinger and Queen Elizabeth were
responsible for the introduction of crack cocaine, it doesn't mean that
we should take that claim at face value. If you were a serious political
person and I told you that you were spreading lies about the Chechens,
you would bother to dig further and establish what the truth is.
Evidently you are not. The only source of such outrageous lies is the
gutter Russian media.

You point to
one apparently suspect source and say"...ah hah...a
conspiracy!...This proves I'm write and...ah hoy!... that, yet again,
David Quarter is a quack". There is certainly A LOT pointing in the
direction of a concerted campaign to undermine Putin, including
what I already mentioned above, as well as the obvious parallels
with the stance of the "liberal" media towards Russia with
Chechnya and the previous treatment of the Serbs and Milosevic
vis a vis Kosovo (Obviously not yet to the proportions of the
demonization campaign against Milosevic at the height of U.S.
attack against Yugoslavia, though time does move quickly along).

Don't you understand what capitalism is and how it operates? The beef
against Milosevic was that he was an obstacle to the privatization of
the Yugoslav economy. In other words, the West was annoyed with him
because he was preventing what Russia had already succeeded in doing
under the iron fist of Boris Yeltsin who fired cannons into the Russian
parliament to smash the Russian versions of Milosevic. His hand-picked
successor was Vladimir Putin who has been much more adroit than the
alcoholic Yeltsin in guiding Russia toward the goal of becoming the most
class-divided country in the world.

There there was the half arsed apology by the west and the U.S.
towards the Beslan slaughter, the demand by the EU official that
that Putin "fess up" to the slaughter, as if to say that that
somehow the Russian security forces were to blame for the 100s of
children killed. All imagined too, I suppose.

What EU official are you speaking of? Just because you read some
deranged accusation on a Russian website, it doesn't mean that it's
true. You should really spend less time reading the garbage collected by
Jim Yarker and Rick Rozoff and more time reading the radical press. For
example, you should look at the newsgroup misc.activism.progressive and
at anything written by Fred Weir in particular. Frankly, I am getting
fed up by the sludge you are dumping into this mailing list.

Again, time will time who is right party here.

We know who is right. We know that the Chechens are not guilty of ethnic
cleansing and slavery. The only thing they are guilty of is trying to
achieve the freedom that was promised them back in 1917. In the last
months of his life, Lenin waged his final struggle against Stalin for
great Russian chauvinism toward the peoples of the Caucuses. And Stalin
was not even involved in a Reaganite dismantling the last vestiges of a
social safety net in Russia as Putin is. So what would Lenin make of
"leftists" who provide spin-doctoring services for Putin, albeit in a
clumsy and feckless manner.
