[Marxism] Canadian Socialists in World War II

Documenting the Revolutionary Socialist Tradition in Canada

The Socialist History Project is pleased to announce that Ian Angus
and John Riddell have begun work on "AGAINST THE STREAM" a book-
length history of Trotskyism in Canada, to be published late in 2005.
They will be presenting some early results of their research on
Saturday, October 9:
CANADIAN SOCIALISTS IN WORLD WAR II: How the CCF, the Communist
Party, and the Trotskyist movement responded to the anti-conscription
movement and unprecedented labour struggles between 1939 and 1945.
Saturday October 9, 10:00 a.m.-11:45 a.m., at Socialist School 2004,
in Toronto.
The Socialist School 2004: Anti-Imperialism versus Empire
sponsored by the International Socialists, the Marxist Institute and
the Socialist Project.
Dates: October 8-9
Place: Steelworkers Hall, 25 Cecil Street, Toronto
