[Marxism] Political situation in Germany

I wasn't necessarily politically endorsing the refs I posted, it's just that
they provide some useful info from people actually living in Germany. I'm
trying among others to get a better understanding of the overall pattern of
unemployment in Germany. The overall jobless rate is around 10%,
disproportionately concentrated among blue-collar workers, women in East
Germany and those over 50 years old. But the 10% figure is not all that
meaningful, since in East Germany it's around 17% or so. The youth
unemployment rate seems to be relatively low, at least in West Germany. If
the long-term unemployed are 1.6 million, this suggests many unemployed
Germans do find jobs within a year, but probably not at the same pay and
conditions as previously.
