True the Nader/Camejo campaign is not a Socialist one. It is a break with the 
two party system, and raises issues, such as the right of workers to organize, 
to have a decent job, housing and medical care for all, that the two major 
parties won't touch. While this program if implemented would not be considered 
as a to a Socialist society, it would certainly improve the lives of tens of 
millions of people in this country. Because of this, and a chance to break the 
two party monopoly in this country, such campaigns are worthy of critical 
support by revolutionary Socialists. Even though Nader is not a Socialist and 
Camejo is certainly no revolutionary Marxist (very few millionaires, making 
300k/year are),their campaign, just by raising these issues among a much larger 
audience then we ourselves can reach,  opens up opportunities to get a hearing 
for Socialist politics from a much larger audience than now available.

Workers in this country will be won to Socialism, because of the opportunity to 
see tangible improvements in their own lives, not because of being won to some, 
in many cases, esoteric philosophical or theoretical concepts. Most if not all 
of us on this list were won to a Socialist program, around specific issues, 
such as, economic deprivation, sweatshop working conditions, imperialist war 
drivers, racism, union busting, or sexism.
