No one element makes a revolution.

A large number of conscious revolutionaries are not marxists.

An overwhelming number of those who _make_ a revolution do not think of
themselves as revolutionaries.

This does not mean that Marxists are not essential to a revolution, but
it does mean that in purely numerical terms marxists make up a very tiny
part of a revolutionary movement.
