RE: [Marxism] Camejo to speak at CCNY

I covered the Camejo speech at NU that took place a couple days ago
(lefthook write-up to come shortly), and there was nothing "liberal"
about the man. I think Oct1917's view is at the risk of being a little
_too_ simple...the notion of "revolution or reform" is merely a
straw-man dichotomy if the litmus test is running in an electoral
framework when the man is actuallly running specifically against the
existing electoral framework.

Anyway, one thing I want to say quick about the event was to beware the
fucking insane Larouchite cult members. I don't know if the whole lot of
them came to NU or what, but  I've never seen them in such force, they
tried to destroy the meeting by heckling Camejo with some nonsensical
utterances about Athens and sophism, the organizers (self included)
literally had to drag their ass out of the room and throw them out into
the street on two occasions. The speaker before Camejo, a cool (and very
strong) guy named Dedrick Muhammad, was very helpful in this endeavor.
Then the Larouchites called the cops, who stuck around and removed the
rest of them with they broke into some crazy song at the end of Camejo's
speech.
