[Marxism] Jesse Jackson

     Jackson has over three decades of experience in being the left face of
the Democrats. In 1973? he was a leader of a Black independent Conference in
Gary,Indiana that came out for an independent Black party. That resolution was
never meant to be taken seriously; it was both a sop to Black activists who
were sick of the Dems and a veiled threat to the party hierarchy to open more
doors to careerists if they want to hold on to the Black vote. As the party
leadership has moved away from being seen as too pro- Black/pro-labor, Jackson 
has
remained a loyal soldier including having to tolerate Clinton figuratively
spitting in his face in 1992 over the sister soljah incident. The Black 
community
certainly hasn't benefitted from being locked up by the Dems, but Jesse has.
He commands top dollar for speaking engagements and is always invited onto
national TV programs to "represent" Black America. He's a "leader", the kind 
that
Malcolm savaged-" cigar in his mouth, picture in the papers- fire on one end,
fool on the other!"
