Excellent point. To recover some shred of credibility, I could point out
that they're fighting big capitalism to save their communities, but that's
weak; you're exactly right, it isn't socialist enterprise nor per se
opposition to capitalism.

This is what I fear. I think there is a huge amount of discontent in the
country, I don't think terming it as a "massive" amount is too far off.
Someone will tap into that discontent, there's no doubt about that. I fear
it will be the right, probably in guise of "traditional" conservatism, and
think the left has to work to organize and educate those people.
