 I think it is the opposite. Ultimately those "activists in the
trenches" will have to learn from their own experience that promoting
someone like Kerry is a loser. We got a little taste of this with the
Nader campaign of 2000. But now Bush has panicked these folks back into
the Democratic party fold. I don't think it will last long, however. If
Kerry loses the proverbial  s will hit the f. Andy Stern's quickly
retracted remarks before the Democratic Convention were a straw in the
wind.
And we have the black trade union leaders like Clarence Thomas already
out there with the Million Worker March.
