[Marxism] RE: Answering a Query and Another Query
Hi,
Thanks for the suggestions Domhnall. I think your brief analyses of the
political perspective of each of these newspapers is spot on- although I
think the Independent does print at least as many half decent articles as
The Guardian. I also think Capital and Class is quite useful, and I must
say, I thought the recent article in NLR 'Vichy on the Tigris' was quite
excellent, so perhaps its not a completely lost cause. Still, as a matter of
fact, I don't like any of the newspapers you mention (including The
Independent and The Guardian) and don't read them for the reasons you
mention- precisely why I posted my query in the first place. I might well
take a look at Monthly Review- although since it's American it is probably
quite costly to subscribe to. I think there are a couple of great sources
for news and analysis in Ireland and in England- but I was kind of hoping
that there would be other 'non-partisan' ones, so to speak.
cheers.
DOMHNALL WROTE:
Calvin, a chara,
I am not a British subscriber but will present my advice on sources of
information anyhow.
