Repression is not the only cause of the Panther's demise. How many of you are 
aware that a witness you could have prevented Geronimo Pratt from being 
convicted didn't testify, because of a factional situation in the Panthers. 
This potential witness wasn't in a different faction than Pratt and was under 
discipline not to testify? Besides political errors, there here were also 
financial improprieties that probably resulted in the murder of one person in 
Oakland. The legacy the Panthers leave us is to learn from their mistakes as 
well as their positve, and there were many, contributions.
