   This is what I can't figure out.  I don't understand their strategy.

   The convention could have yielded all sorts of goodies if they were
bold/smart enough to exploit it.

   My favorite would have been to use (not that they'd ever use it, but)
Bush's lie last night about Saddam Hussein *not* disarming and not
cooperating with the UN as the reason Bush went to war.

   I couldn't believe that.  Bush stood there repeating the same lies he used
to justify the war.  I expected the droids at the convention to cheer, but
what's amazing is the corporate media's reaction.  No one called him on it!
I've seen some news and listened to NPR today, and the media just completely
ignored Bush's lies.  WTF?!  Didn't the NYT and Post just apologize for
putting up with too much BS a couple of weeks ago -- how come they aren't
calling Bush a liar?

   But don't worry.  Someone on NPR said that Kerry is going to get tough now
and that he wouldn't be a Dukakis.  I believe that ... sure. :-)
