[Marxism] Re: Fernando Claudin and the CPSU 20th Party Congress
I can say that if he did write a book on the CPSU 20th Party Congress,
no library whose holdings are accessible through WorldCat owns it. So
it is very likely that he did not.
It seems that he turned his attention to the post-Stalin political
opposition in the USSR and the Peoples' Democratic Republics, publishing
in 1981, "La oposición en el 'socialismo real' : Unión Soviética,
Hungría, Checoslovaquia, Polonia : 1953-1980", which I would translate
as, "The Opposition to 'Existing Socialism' : Soviet Union, Hungary,
Czechoslovakia, Poland : 1953-1980".
Librarian's guess: this is what became of the book on the 20th Party
Congress, though it is not indexed as such in the subject headings. It
is not available in English, only Spanish and French. Eight libraries
in the US own the Spanish edition, so there is a chance it could be had
through interlibrary loan.
