Nobody should project strategies dependent upon successful
fortune-telling.  A healthy movement is built on its victories not its
defeats.  Working people will be defeated at the polls this November,
and will largely be the authors of that defeat, but we make a political
fight in order to point them towards independence.  How the Democrats
have reacted has been a real eye-opener.



Yes, but we should provide an analysis to suit any possible scenario. You say
a healthy movement is built on its victories and not its defeats. Again, yes,
but victories occur when people are in motion. The catalyst which gets them
in motion is repression, is the point where things are so bad they have little
choice. History, I'm sure you will agree, reveals this.
