No, Kerry is just a typical bourgeois politician of the sort that the
German Social Democracy backed during the rise of Nazism. These
bourgeois politicians keep getting worse (but not as evil as Hitler)
until finally the worst of the Anybody But Hitlers (ABH), a man named
Hindenberg, turned over the power to Hitler. You wrote a good book on
the McCarthy era that I read over 20 years ago. It is too bad that you
didn't draw the larger lessons of what happened. It took Truman, a
Democrat, a launch the Red Scare with his loyalty oath. That began a
2-party war on the left, not that different from what is going on today
as evidenced by the repressive attacks on the right to demonstrate
peacefully at *both* the Democratic and Republic Party conventions.

You are a humorless prig. I insist that you watch John Stewart's "The
Daily Show" until you regain your sense of humor. The worst thing about
this ABB sickness is that it turned decent radical-minded people into a
liberal pod people versions of "The Body Snatchers". If my wife wakes up
tomorrow morning and tells me in a monotone that we have to everything
to get Bush out of office, I am going to live in Central Park with the
squirrels.
