No, the prowar orientation isn't news. What I found interesting about the
article was Schell's ex post facto lament over that orientation, which was
noticably absent at the convention, where the leadership held total sway
over its (leaderless) antiwar base. I think most Democrats still think this
is just a tactical adaptation which Kerry can easily reverse when elected.
Shell correctly notes otherwise -- first antiwar Democrat I've seen waken to
that.
