Fred,
I agree with you wholeheartedly but I'm curious if you believe that Kerry
would have a Department of Justice that would pursue the same trashing of
civil liberties that has characterized Asscraft. I can think of several
areas: medical marijuana, death with dignity, support for non-fundamentalist
approaches to birth control (prosecution of doctors) and also in Health;
i.e, junking the approach on abstinence -- another "just say 'No' children"
(especially relevant in the current approaches taken on US aid aimed at the
world HIV/AIDS epidemic) as well as in faith-based initiatives and
environmental protection.
