One of the strength's of a parliamentary system--often also considered a
weakness--is its ability to change horses in mid-stream. The party leader
can be replaced, he or she can step down, and another government presented
to ... the queen.
Then they can start all over again, with no silly arguments over electoral
colleges, votes in Florida, etc.
