Re: FW: [Marxism] Nader Hits Two, Three, Many Campaign Trails

Walter Lippmann wrote:

While it's not exactly an authoritative source,
since the Socialist Workers Party may at some
point get around to nominating its own ticket,
THE MILITANT does make some observations about
Nader and the Green Party which are work taking
a look at.

Those observations have been made over and over. Christopher Hitchens's
Vanity Fair article, Doug Henwood's latest LBO newsletter, Doug
Ireland's Nation Magazine article and many others have all tried to
smear Nader as a rightwinger because he is accepting a Reform Party
ballot line. Frankly, nobody in their right mind would consider a vote
for Nader as a vote for the principles defined by Ross Perot when he
launched this 3rd party. That being said, I think it is far worse to be
connected to the Democrats than it is to have connections to the Reform
Party which has never had an elected official--as far as I know. The
Democrats have on their record:

--bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki
--killing some 3 million Vietnamese
--giving carte blanche to Zionism
--slavery Jim Crow in the south until the early 1960s
--genocide against the Indians under the presidency of Andrew Jackson

By comparison, Lenora Fulani is as pure as the driven snow.
