[Marxism] Iraq
Having just read Bob Woodward's book, I can highly recommend it and Friday's
issue of the Financial Times (UK) I would make the following observations.
1.The BUsh regime thought they could easily overthrow Saddam Hussain and be
welcomed as liberators.
2. Iraq would remain as a single entity
3. Capitalism would be restored
4. A new Iraq would inevitably lead to regime change throughout the middle
east, with of course the restoration of capitalism to the benefit of the
Americans.
5. Thus, the new world order would come into being.
6. The plan has gone completely wrong and the Bush regime has no idea what to
do now.
