Never did... But so? Bush is evil (i.e., from a class perspective, represents
the openly repressive rule fo the most reactionary facton of finance
capital), Kerry is lesser (represnts a faction disenchanted with neo-con
strategy and
wants to cut losses by increasing risk-- weirdly predictable) but still evil,
Nader is lesser but lesser...etc. So we should all dedicate our efforts to
building some alyernative but by participating in the "real" movement that
actually exists, even when it's led by hypocrites and opportunists and
sell-outs.

Meanwhile, while we build the anti-war and anti-imperialist movement 'from
below" amongts an elusive workingclass, is there any position that can be
advanced re: war, or issue raised among these sell-out liberal circles and their
base which is larger than ours (socilaist, communist) that would help build a
movement independent of them?

E.g., I posed as a Dem for the first time sine 1972, got three strong
resolutons passed in the precinct caucus demanding they withdraw troops
immediately
and unconditionally from Iraq, and Haiti, plus oppose a local Wal-Mart, plus
pass universal single-payer health-care financed by progressive tax on wealth
and income. not bad for an hour's work. That's all I had time for, but probably
could have done some more. Based on vigoruos advocacy of these positions, got
elected as delegate to the county and district conventions where these
resolutions will be posed. Doesn't mean I have to stop doing anything else, even
though I recognize it's largely rhetorical protest against the fix that's
already
in. Don't even have to vote, even for Kucinich.

And you?
