[Marxism] Fwd: Chavez praises Marxist.com and backsHandsoffVenezuela campaign

I appreciate Fred's comments, they are pretty spot-on.

On Jay's question: they have a mass base in Pakistan, where they are part of
the Bhutto's Pakistan People's Party (running their trade union and youth
movement), having elected a few MPs there. They also lead Spain's student
movement, or large section of it.

This same group had lead the old "Militant Labour" faction of the British
Labour Party until 10 years ago or so, but were expelled. Since then they
shrunk a lot have one or two hundred members in the UK now, at best.

Interestingly their group in Venzesuela is well under 100 members, albeit they
may of grown lately in light of the noteriety they recently achieved.

Like Fred I support anything they do positively in defense of the gains of the
revolution and working class in Venezuela. I think the point about
a "Trotskyist norm" is interesting. I think there isn't one. It's like
asking "What's the Trotskyist take on this or that aspect of the class
struggle?". There is no one answer on this as there are as many different
answers as there are groups, just like there is for socialist groups in general.

David
