RE: [Marxism] web based subscription
It may be a little bit easier/more elegant for there to be a web-based
reply within the list archive, but just about any email provider today
offers web-based email writing, as part of web-based interfaces to email
accounts. So the procedure that could be used is to subscribe the email
account that is to be used in responding, set it to no emails, and then
post from it.
Given the Marxmail norm of *not* reproducing the message being answered,
but at most a little snippet to remind people of the context of the
thread, and that this is most easily done selecting only the wanted text
and copy-pasting it into an email, I would think it is unnecessary for
this list to provide web-based posting, since the only difference
between hitting "reply" is that when you hit reply on one of these
message boards the old message is automatically inserted in the new
email. As for the "Re: blah blah blah" subject line: having to
consciously copy-paste the subject line or type a new one is probably a
Good Thing, since threads often wander far from their starting point and
it would be more helpful at a certain point to put a new subject line on
them.
