Who in the hell writes these "definitions"?! I'm aware there is an ongoing
struggle over the very meaning of "keywords" (to use Raymond Williams'
locution), the most important of which is the meaning of "democracy:" These
definitions must have been written by some American cold warriors.
"abolishes"? - hardly a neutral word. "collectivism"? - even less neutral.

At least my OED comes closer to MY conception of "communism": "a theory of
society according to which all property should be vested in the community
and labour organized for the common benefit."

I have some quibbles with this definition but it is surely closer to what
Marxist "activists and scholars" aspire to, IMHO. What do you think?
