Peace?
If we understand Marx, then we must understand this:
"There an be no peace on this earth, as long as rich an poor, they
still exist." -- Lee Scratch Perry
This is a verifiable fact, not just a Dub lyric. Socialism cannot
solve that problem. As long as there is property, there is rich and
poor.
I stand with anyone who wants the occupation troops out of Iraq,
Afghanistan, Palestine and elsewhere. But this does not mean I
recognize myself as being in a common party with them.
>From WordNet (r) 2.0 [wn]:
socialism
n 1: a political theory advocating state ownership of industry
2: an economic system based on state ownership of capital [syn:
{socialist economy}] [ant: {capitalism}]
communism
n 1: a form of socialism that abolishes private ownership
2: a political theory favoring collectivism in a classless
society
