[Marxism] Seriously, folks
"But really, if we are not to be serious about religion perhaps we can
be serious about other things? This used to be the *conditio sine qua
non* of many things, including *every* form of Marxist politics."
--wrote Rubard.
The majority of my writings to this list over the past several years
have been serious. Even my apparently not-so-serious contributions
carry an undertone, and/or subtext, of sincere concern. I don't
participate here as if this was a joke, not at all. With religious
fervour driving public policy in so many countries today, we really
should address the absurdities of group behaviours based on nonsense. I
hope I have been clear. I wish others would strive for clarity in their
critiques--if they are indeed serious about praxis.
