revolutionary violence takes place in the context of a mass movement and

people. It helps
to get them to identify with their rulers as has been obvious in the
USA.

Response Jim C: I posed to my classes, as a critical thinking question
only, if they could imagine, from a particular persective, how the 9-11
attacks might have actually saved lives--in short-run NET terms? I got
these confused looks. I suggested that they look up the particular
companies and agencies that were taken out on 9-11 and explore what
kinds of activities they are involved in, what kinds of decisions they
routinely make and what kinds of impacts on real people invariably flow
from the kinds of decisions made in the pentagon and some of these types
of companies and agencies in the trade center towers.
Looks of confusion changed to looks of horror at even the suggestion.
