Re: [Marxism] Monopoly Capital discussion group

A good starting point for a bibliography would be John Bellamy Foster's
"The Theory of Monopoly Capitalism" (MR, 1986). From the preface:
"This book is a revised and expanded version of my doctoral
dissertation, defended at York University in Toronto in October 1984.
Although its main concern is with the work of Paul Baran and Paul
Sweezy, this is mainly a vehicle for examining an entire tradition of
thought, loosely associated with the magazine Monthly Review, to which
numerous theorists -- some of no less importance -- have contributed. In
this respect, Baran and Sweezy belong to what might be referred
to--after Gramsci, though not precisely in his way--as a "collective
intellectual."
