[Marxism] Squeeze, please! More workers' blood!

"To the extent that companies can squeeze another drop of blood out of
their
existing work force, they're doing it. Eventually you reach the point
where there's no more blood to be given, but we haven't reached it yet."
- Joshua Shapiro, an economic researcher in New York.

The above is the "Quote Of The Day" from the New York Times.

"New Patterns Restrict Hiring"
By Louis Uchitelle, New York Times, March 6, 2004
While the economy has been expanding for six months, the nation's
employers remain stubbornly reluctant to add jobs in the U.S.

"Stubbornly reluctant"? Are bosses in the charity business? Can they
operate at a loss and not go bankrupt? We've really passed the time for
railing at mean and nasty corporations or employers. People are caught
in a bad system. We must either become economic cannibals, or meat.
Don't like it? Don't buy it. Move along. Orrrrrrrrrrr... . . . rev it
up.
