[Marxism] Re.: Ramsey Clark on Aristide & Haiti
Clark recommends an investigation of the state. However, serious
allegations have been made that nongovernmental organizations associated
with the party in power fortified the reactionary revanchist forces,
that is the military arm as well as the civil face, with funds and
support. Track them down and put them in the dock, as well.
Sure, investigate. Confirm what we already know. Capitalist interests
will stop at nothing to secure their interests. That includes making
the masses believe those interests are in the interest of all. Deceit,
and slaughter just, as the bumper stickers say, happens.
An investigation of the Haitian putsch should also include France, and
Canada. Such an investigation on such a scale shouldn't implicate
individuals. It should expose imperialism for what it is. But
examinations will remain within the context of bourgeois law which
cannot implicate itself. Boo-boos and misunderstandings will be found
as the accidental authors of unfortunate circumstance. We'll be tossed
a Judas goat. We should be prepared for that.
We must keep our target in sight. The imperialist system did it. The
system is the criminal element. It's had more than three strikes
against it.
Critics of the highly principled left have denigrated the futile
attempts of an Allende, Arbenz, Bishop, Goulart, Lumumba, Mossadegh,
etc., as not real red, not enough brains, or guts, or programs, etc.,
but that is all beside the point. The crux is that the system lies. It
declares democracy as sacrosanct, but then wheels out martinets like
Colin Powell to announce that although a certain President was
democratically elected, he didn't operate democratically?for whatever
reasons including harassment, sabotage, etc.?so his was not a democracy,
indeed, it was a swindle, a bloodsucker on the body politic. It was
therefore cut, and the people saved. Powell as much as admitted
culpability.
Who can believe that dizzy ?democracy? described by the US Secretary of
State? Consider the source. Not just him as one beneficiary of that
phony Florida election. Consider the record of the imperialist United
States of America, and the Republic of France. These are repeat
offenders at large. They are states as professional, career criminals.
They are incorrigible. The slammer?s too good for them. They deserve
the mercies they bestow upon others: le coup d?état, et le coup de
grâce.
Remember when communists were called an "international conspiracy"? It
is to laugh. Amateurs!
Remember when a certain American President declared an infinite war
against terrorism? Observe the terrorists he let run amuck in Haiti and
triumph.
