What a boogeyman, all bound up with racist undertones.
Nevertheless:
Aggressive insanity under the banner of religious conviction also
includes militant Christians, Jews, and Hindus.  These are not
socialists.  Just the opposite.  We know their face, wherever we live,
whether in Gujarat, Bethlehem, or Lynchburg.  They are authoritarian,
top-down, intolerant maniacs consumed by a single-minded, intensely
fervent, confrontational obsession--the chauvinism of one totally
certain civilization, and the certainty of subsequent conflict because
each religious militancy enjoys mutual win/win relationships of
animosity with all the others.  Perfect crises for entrepreneurial
exlpoitation.
