The term "Westy" in Manhattan has a certain connotation, especially
among the local Irish.  I don't know if folks out of town would get it.
Maybe some fellow Micks in Boston.  Certainly agents of the FBI in the
Northeastern US.  The Westies are, or were--I haven't kept up since I
moved out West-- a notorious criminal gang whose leaders, and some
members, had bad reputations for brutal, violent insanity.

I'm only saying what I heard; it could all be a lie as far as I know, so
don't blame me, okay?  I'm making the point that certain terms may be
misinterpretted by individuals in different situations, so in the
interests of effective communication some definitions may at times be
necessary.  NATURALly, it is incumbent on "no/one" to be forthcoming in
their *free* expression(s). }
