[Marxism] re: holocaust denial

The Irish potato famine was, and still is, a fabrication:
Irish Holocaust Website:
http://home.comcast.net/~irishholocaust/index.htm
Is Britain's cover-up of its 1845-1850 holocaust in Ireland the most
successful Big Lie in all of history?

Well, no, it isn't really a very successful lie. What is there that is new
in
this piece? Sure, the general opinion reflects these lies even today,
but the general opinion is never worth a great deal on almost any
historical event, no matter how frequently aired.

This comment is in no way meant to imply a criticism of railing against
the popular storybook version of events, by the way.

More successful Big Lies in Britain surely include the work-camps of
th thirties, and indeed the impact of the depression era on the UK
in all its aspects. True versions of events aside, at least the public
are aware of famine in Ireland, regardless of their interpretation
of the whys and wherefores. This seems not to apply to the
depression era in the UK: or for that matter, to the treatment
of conscientious objectors in both war, bar the Monacled Mutineer
TV show [on long enough ago to not be remembered by many].

And there are no doubt any number of actually successful Big Lies
there, that are still not uncovered in any aspect [and I don't doubt
many of these will be around events in Ireland].
