Do you also believe that the resistance is reactionary? Do you have any
opinion on the quote from Trotsky about the need to have supported the
Rif movement in Morocco? Was Abd El Krim any more a revolutionary than
those who resist the occupation of Iraq? Was Haile Selassie? Chiang
Kai-shek? Marxists support anti-colonial resistance *no matter the
character of the leadership*. This is something that the SWP I joined in
1967 understood. This new formation, which has only the name in common
with the one I joined, does not.
