If "fascist" were anything like an appropriate definition of the current
policies, the problem would not that there are detainees in prison
unable to participate in this list. There would not be a list...or,
rather, this list would be tapped out on the water pipes between our
cells.

The flip side of this silliness is that people actually seem to believe
the claims of the U.S. ruling class that this society is traditionally
very free in terms of speech, etc. There have always been
hundreds--when not thousands of political prisoners--who are American
citizens, not kidknapped foreigners. And there was a time when the
national policy was unabashedly exterminist/removal in terms of an
entire people and enslavement of another.

Then again, the system does practically encourages the Left to bandy
about terms like "fascism," part of the effect being that the process
gradually bleaches the concept.

Save the term for when we need. We probably will.
