[Marxism] not repressive in any serious way?
<<Every election this happens.
If were even *close* to being "repressive" in any serious way, let
along "Fascist", then this list wouldn't even exist, no one would want
to write here anyway, and we'd all be in jail or dead.">>
I know a few who would argue with this but they can't get this list as they
are currently detained in New Jersey. There might be a few more, but we
haven't got their names.
Those who have died in the prisons they would not otherwise be in, but for
the Ashcroft Doctrine, we might not ever hear about, given that, by the
government's own acknowledgement and insistence, we do not have all of the
names. We do know of one.
According to David Cole, never in the history of the United States has there
been such widespread secret incarceration. (And that's a columnist in the
mainstream paper The Nation.)
We might argue over whether this is fascist -- but repressive? Go to the
jails and look -- if they'll let you.
Lee Hall.
