RE: [Marxism] Michael Moore and General Clark

It's even more confusing than this. Frankly, the real problem about
participating in a primary election is that it requires registering as a
Democrat (or Republican) in order to participate and this is what points
towards a pro-capitalist vote in the general election...a vindication
for the class enemy to continue running the state.

That said, we are not discussing casting a vote for a capitalist party
to take power, but participation in a political party's popularity test
to decide which face to hang on its rotten policies. In and of itself,
it's probably most comparable to participating in a product preference
poll...a waste of time and an indication of silly priorities.

Doing so publically, however, indicates that Moore places a great deal
more weight on which product the Democratic Party, Inc. decides to
market in 2004.

Finally, I have no special objections to General Clark as opposed to the
others, but also see no real attraction to his candidacy, as opposed to
several of the others. My fear is that Moore (and others) are urging
Clark as not only the best candidate in terms of his policies but seeing
him as the most winnable of the Democratic candidates. Someone who is
doing this is looking at electoral politics as simply a horse race.

Too bad. ...but it takes nothing away from the great achievements of
Michael Moore.

Solidarity!
Mark L.
