Re: [Marxism] Nader is to be Applauded for Departing the Green Party

Bravo!

The fact is that the 22% of the people who "strongly dislike" or "hate" the
Bush regime is far more important than the pundits are wont to grant.
Dislike and anger are much stronger emotions than "approve or disapprove".

When the crisis hits (as it is hitting) the contradictions are there for all
to see. The most glaring contradiction now is the constant media
bombardment about the improvement in the economy (stock market going up,
profitability) and the reality that every worker knows, things have really
been getting worse. The only consistent system that explains this is the
marxist analysis of capitalism. Why aren't people out there educating about
the marxist theory of capitalist exploitation that links the two???

Since Marxism and socialism can no longer be associated with a foreign power
as they were from 1917 through 1989, the capitalist ideologues can now only
mock and laugh about it as an anachronistic experiment whose ultimate
failure has already been demonstrated. Let them mock. They fail to
recognize the battle for the war. If put in the right form -- enough
Americans might very well support increased public control of productive
resources and activities to create a powerful force. Weren't the
Bolsheviks were only 5% of total political party membership in 1917 Russia.

The mealy-mouth disavowal of socialist advocacy and direct attack on the
capitalist system should end!!! A Soviet psychologist, Lev Vygotsky,
developed a notion of learning known as the Zone of Proximal Development.
It would be a good tool for looking at how to approach the problem of
re-educating people about socialism and the marxist critique of capitalism.
