These are very powerful images that you paint, and as a former worker at an
abused women's shelter I relate the all the the incidents.   I have heard
the same and more.
But now I am on the other side.   It is the morning of Christmas Eve and I
am waiting yet again for the police to arrive at my house asking to see my
son.   They want him to answer a "few questions" regarding his wife.   And
we all know that that means  It means that they will take him to the police
station and again charge him with a crime.   Breaking a restraining order.
He has been separated from his wife now for six months.   She is now living
with the boyfriend she left him for, taking her and my son's children with
her.    She first had him arrested in July, charging him with assault that
supposedly happened last February.   What she was really pissed off about
was the fact that she had heard that he had a girlfriend.  Well she put paid
to that relationship pretty quickly.   Its okay for her to be living with
someone else but he can't have a friend.   So the police hauled him off to
jail.   He got out on bail.   She phones, he answers, she phones the police.
This is the fifth time.   He will not get out of jail again.   She also went
to a magistrate and accused him of beating the children.  She got a
protection order against him.   He can't see his children.   But her father
can, a father that sexually abused her and her sisters .   She leaves her
children with her parents overnight.   And there isn't a thing I can do
about it.

I know what you are thinking, yes I am his mother and mothers don't believe
that their children can commit crimes like these.   But I know my son.   If
David Milgarrd's mother hadn't believed in him, he would still be in jail to
this day for a murder he didn't commit.

Three days ago, my son's wife phoned him and asked him to meet her to buy
chistmas gifts for the children.   Of course he went.   She dangled the
thought of his seeing his children in front of him.   And then snatched it
away again.   It would have been kinder to put a bullet through his brain in
July, because she is killing him everyday.   He has lost over 80 pounds in
the last six months.   He has developed a heart condition.   He is 35 years
old, and his life is in ruins because he picked a cheat and a liar for a
wife.
A wife who gave blow jobs to men at work, who had an abortion  because she
became pregnant by another one of her affair's .   And all this time my son
stood by her because he loved her and knew that this was just her early
abuse manifesting itself.    But she wouldn't get any help.    And this is
how she is repaying him for his devotion.   So as I said, here I am on
Christmas Eve waiting for the police to arrive.   Merry Christmas.
