Re: [Marxism] National questions and 'national questions'

Most people on this list are pretty sensitive to national oppression.
Many of us cut our political teeth on fighting national oppression -
opposing US intervention in Vietnam, opposing Israeli dispossession of
Palestinians, opposing British negation of Irish national rights and, of
course, fighting national oppression and/or racialised oppression within
people's own countries
Comment
Many revolutionaries and communist in America cut their teeth on the national
question in America. Perhaps 90% of all the communists, Marxists and
revolutionaries in America today - over the age of 40, where birthed in the
context of
the national question in America. Here is an issue one cannot scream
Stalinism and confuse matters.
That is to say the national question as it existed in the shape of the
African American peoples and the Civil Rights movement from the post WW2 era
until
yesterday. Here is a simple and easy question to prove ones revolutionary zeal
and understanding of national oppression or as it is called in America, second
class citizenship. Any revolutionary in America that does not understand this
simple question cannot of course understand Yugoslavia and this juncture of
history.
Here ideology of the past era will not help. The national question in the
last period was not Vietnam, but right here under our noise.
