[Marxism] Re.: Saddam and Washington

We could conceivably imagine that Saddam Hussein falls into a set.  This
set would include despicable, anti-communist despots installed or
supported by the United States, and that later the US decided were a
liability, had passed their utility, or otherwise abandoned or
betrayed.  Some of those recommended for membership in this set: Joaquín
Balaguer, Fulgencio Batista, Ngo Dinh Diem, Alberto Fujimori, Efrain
Ríos Montt, Manuel Noriega, Augusto Pinochet, Rafael Trujillo, etc.

The above list would not include those the US continued to support, eg.
Mobuto Sese Seko, Chiang Kai-shek, Francisco Franco, Suharto, etc.

Future possibilities might include Pervez Musharraf, Hosny Mubarak, and
SLORC.
