Hi Chris,

But what if he really is what he appears to be - astonishingly stupid - say
with an IQ about 81 on a good day and him with a strong breeze at his back?

Isn't it a terrifying thought that the most powerful nation in the whole
world is led by the likes of Bush?

Anyway that is the view I think we from outside the USA get.

More seriously my point is that to rule the world the capitalist class must
know it.  Yet the whole Iraq affair reveals them to have been entirely
ignorant.  Now they are beginning to realise that they cannot even crash
through.

I said to Tariq Ali when he was outlining the disasters facing the
Americans in Iraq when they would ask in the Turkish troops, that they (the
Bush Team) cannot be that stupid.  He said to the effect 'sure they can'.

Now to repeat my question

Isn't it a terrifying thought that the most powerful nation in the whole
world is led by the likes of Bush?
