Re: Havana Club (WSJ editorial)
For those who don't know, "Havana Club" is the brand name of the best
rum in the world, made in Cuba. You gotta wonder if that WSJ writer was
drinking straight out of the White House trough when he wrote such lines
as:
"...the horror that is Cuban communism...
...what is the best way to bring Fidel Castro down...
...the suffering that Fidel and his commissars have wrought."
It's the sort of commentary that makes me shie away from hearty bravos
for a new comrade in the struggle for Revolution...
but since this plus the current wrangling in the Republican Party
indicates a split of sorts in the ruling class, well: Hooray!
And if they capitalists want to sell the rope that will hang them, let's
play it out.
