WASHINGTON - Chants of "Impeach Bush," and "No War for
Empire" were repeatedly heard among the 20,000
anti-war protesters who rallied in the nation's
capital Saturday and delivered a scathing critique of
President Bush and his Iraq policy. Around 5,000
demonstrated in San Francisco few hours later.

Demanding an end to the U.S.-led occupation and the
quick return of American troops, the demonstrators
gathered on a sunny fall day at the Washington
Monument to listen to speeches and songs of peace.

Rockets Hit Baghdad Al Rasheed Hotel With Americans
inside, including Wolfowitz

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Six to eight rockets struck the
Al-Rasheed Hotel early Sunday, where U.S. military and
civilian employees stay, and the U.S. military said.

A spokesman for the military command said there were
an "unknown number of casualties" and a quick reaction
force had been dispatched to the scene.

occupation of Iraq. Party fast becoming main left
electoral opposition to bipartisanship

Party fast becoming the largest and only national
electoral progressive and left opposition to Democrats
and Republicans. Greens urged all Americans who oppose
