Re: Marx versus Engels?
Yeah, Yes, Charles' piece hit hard-- Russians buying a Ford castoff, and
not an automobile. Somewhere in Moscow older men and women, children of
1917, scratch their heads and say "Huh?" and remember stories their
parents told them about factory owners before the revolution.
Did Fleetwood during the summers, you know, the usual scut work, etc.
Zug Island scared you? Zug Island scared the hell out of me. Nasty
place, rats bigger than alligators, and they could swim.
Drafted before the blast furnace blew up. Heard about it though. As I
was telling the story to some buddies, sergeant walks over and says,
"Damn boy, think how lucky you are that we hauled your skinny pink ass
outta there. If it weren't for this f**ked-up war, you couldve been
killed."
Had to think about that for awhile. Still think about. Scary thing
is-- it makes sense.
sort of.
Criticism of Dems does not mean I'm not going to DC tomorrow. I'll be
there.
