Very sensible, what Tariq Ali is saying in this interview.

Has anybody here seen or even read that book already? The German
translation appeared at the same time (Tariq Ali's being arrested
when leaving Munich two years ago

might have helped to convince the publisher Hugendubel).

I'm not yet beyond the introduction, where among other fine
observations Ali states that "Capitalist democracy = privatizations +
'Civil Society'" and how 'civil society' is being built by the NGOs,
and how this 'civil sociaty' is limited by the financing thru the
NGOs and thse by their financial sources. I had to think of the
"Reporters without borders"...
